An award winning eLearning platform company is looking for a talented senior DBA to manage existing database, providing the highest possible performance, availability, and security. In this role you should be able to perform database/sql tuning on large databases, and be able to monitor and troubleshoot database issues. The DBA will be able to write, debug and maintain TSQL stored procedures and SQL reports and having an understanding of scripting language and good understanding of sql/windows clustering. You will be working closely with development teams and product managers to ensure fast, highly reliable, quality releases.

[Job Responsibilities]

1. Role requirements include planning, development and troubleshooting.

2. Responsible for database administration, performance, backup and recovery strategies.

3. Work closely with the programming and data processing groups to ensure database standards and security are maintained.

4. Migrates all development code into the production environment following published process.

5. Tunes database performance to ensure defined business requirements and service level agreements are met.

6. Modifies database programming language statements and adjusts memory parameters to enhance database performance.

7. Provide time and resource estimates for design, development, and deployment of database components.

8. Author and publish reports in SQL Server 2008 R2 Reporting Services.

9. Design, develop and support the SQL Server 2008 R2 data warehouse by creating tables, indexes, views, indexed views, functions, triggers, stored procedures, and tuning complex T-SQL queries .

10. Build and manage ETL routines with SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services) and SQL Server Agent jobs .

11. Design and implement SQL Server 2008 R2 Analysis Services multi-dimensional cubes (a plus).

12. Create and maintain documentation on data warehouse processes and procedures.

13. Pro-actively monitor and maintain SQL Server production and test databases. Use best practices for performance tuning.

14. Responsible for cloning the production environment to test instances.

15. 3+ Years of expertise in database administration, maintenance, optimization, tuning in a commercial environment.
